One Little Word!

To welcome in each new year...Ali Edwards started a public tradition of choosing a single word to focus on over the course of the year.

This word should have a personal meaning for YOU...one that you can focus on, mediate on and reflect upon as you go about your daily life!

This one single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich, soft and slow. It can be an emotion or an action.

This one little word can have big meaning in your life if you allow yourself to be open to the possibilities!

You may be wondering, like I was.....What in the heck does this all have to do with scrapbooking?
Well.....Ali Edwards feels that words are at the heart of what she does. The photos are a huge part, but the words bring it all home. It makes sense doesn't it?

A lot of times I begin a layout with a single word. That word becomes my guide as I create my page. It is the story I am trying to tell through my layout!
How often has a word directed your creativity when working on layouts?

So...Can you identify a single word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?

I have.............BREATHE!

I'm struggling with mine! I'm not a huge believer in having a word, but I do like to think about it. I want to be more creative, use what I have without accumulating a lot more (this will be so difficult for me!!), I want to purge items we don't need anymore, and I want to be the best wife and mother that I can be. I would also like to be a lot more active and healthy. Is there a word that takes all of that into account? LOL! Breathe is a good one!!
